In Her Own Words

Tuesday, March 08, 2011

You may or may not be aware that today is International Women's Day (it's ok - I didn't know until last week, either).

To celebrate International Women's Day, the fabulous Clare and Aisling of Any Other Wedding and Angie of One Cat Per Person are hosting a whole epic day of posts, under the banner "In Her Own Words", featuring loads of amazing women bloggers. And guess what - I'm one of them!

I cannot tell you how honoured I am to be asked to contribute to this project. Seriously, when I saw who else was on the email chain I nearly died. I did wonder whether maybe someone had made a mistake, but apparently not. Yay!

My post will be going up later today and I'll link to it once it's up, but in the meantime I urge you to head over to Any Other Wedding and One Cat Per Person to check out all the posts as they go up throughout the day. There are some truly phenomenal women bloggers participating and I cannot wait to hear what they have to say.

A massive congratulations to Clare, Aisling and Angie for pulling this together in such a short time, and thank you soooo much for inviting me to be a part of it.

Now, what are you still doing here? Go!

"In Her Own Words: In Celebration of International Women's Day 2011" was created to share and celebrate the experiences of women from many walks of life. All day Tuesday, March 8th Any Other Wedding and One Cat Per Person will feature posts written by a collective of intelligent, passionate and opinionated women bloggers from the United States and the United Kingdom. We encourage you to comment and create dialouge as well as visit their respective blogs. The conversation starts here, but it does not need to end here. Be sure to stop by Any Other Wedding and One Cat Per Person throughout the day to read all of the posts in the series. For more information about International Women's Day, visit

P.S. For those of you keeping count - that's TWO blogging collaborations now! In two weeks (here's the first one)! I am on fire!

P.P.S. You can read my In Her Own Words post here.

Oh God, I read this just after taking
down the Christmas decorations this morning (I wake up too early for the paper delivery); then I was admiring an advert for a "healthy" M & S meal with, guess what endame beans! Plus I am just about to go out to my aqufit class...which I haven't been to since pre-chemo days in 2010!! So guess I have been sucked into the New Year-is -over brigade. You have 24 days till the ski holiday.... start knitting that snood!
