If I were getting married again...

Elie Saab V-back beaded gown

...in a hypothetical world where I was the kind of badass bride who wore midnight blue sequins to her own wedding - oh and one where I had a spare seven grand - I would be getting married in this.

And it's in stock in my size. Coincidence? I think not.

How about you?

(My little fantasy shopping spree was inspired by this post over on east side bride and, in turn, this one. Is it only in hindsight that a brightly-coloured designer gown seems like such an obviously amazing idea? Think of the re-wearing possibilities!)

Elie Saab V-Back Beaded Gown via Boutique 1. If you're new around here, you should know this is not the first time I've played this game.

  1. Beautiful! Not sure I'd do colour if I got married again but think it looks amazing on other people. One of my photographers had a very fetching blue dress for her wedding which was gorgeous

    1. In reality I wouldn't have the balls for it. And I did love my real dress. But that's the beauty of an imaginary wedding...

  2. You can't show me an amazing dress then tell me it costs £7000;-) You need to have the high street alternative too! The dress on style me pretty is amazing!

  3. I've been mildly obsessed with Ghost lately. Yes yes they wouldn't look good on a short round woman but obviously this being a fantasy wedding I'll lose 3 stone, and magically grow half a foot.

This 'un: http://www.johnlewis.com/310835/Product.aspx but they have some gorgeous ones in royal blue too.

    1. Ghost do beautiful dresses for weddings, as a short and curvy girl I was skeptical but apart from having to wear an XL they had a real contender for me. It flowed beautifully. :)

  5. Lurve that! If I were a gazillionaire I'd have an Elie Saab dress for my wedding.

Catherine, I LOVE ghost! They're such amazing value too!

  6. I was actually quite enchanted by a sequinned midnight blue wedding gown when I was dress shopping. And if we'd gone for the city hall kind of wedding we initially planned, I would have worn a slinky silver sequinned dress and M a slim fitting suit. We had it all planned, then life intervened.

  7. Arrggghhh! Beautiful! This makes me want to show you my evening dress - it isn't in blue but it comes in blue and I am massively tempted to trade...
