What's happening?

Monday, February 06, 2012

I'll go first.

1. It was -21°C where we were in the French Alps on Saturday. MINUS TWENTY-ONE DEGREES. Otherwise known as Too Fucking Cold.

2. The hypothetical farm wedding is no longer hypothetical! Blonde Bridesmaid is getting married! Woohoo! (On which topic, if anyone else ordered Meg's book on Amazon UK and keeps getting emails from them bleating on about delays and suppliers and bla bla bla, The Book Depository apparently has some in stock. Don't say I'm not good to you.)

3. I have the flu. Which means I'm in bed. Which means I need entertained. Which brings me to...

What's happening with you? Tell me, what did I miss?

  1. Nothing missed here, it is only three weeks until Pendo though and I am getting excited! Did you fall over lots?

    1. I resent that implication! I've been skiing since I was five or so, so thankfully not too much falling over (although there was maybe a little bit...)

Yay can't wait for PenDo! Time for some serious wardrobe planning...

  2. When we were in Yellowstone National Park two weeks ago, it was minus 25. It was unbelievably cold. 6 layers of clothing and not enough. Apparently once it gets to minus 15 it all feels the same - bloody cold.

And now that I'm back, I read that Hunter has just released their version of a moonboot. *sigh*

  3. good to know about Meg's book. I keep getting the emails and when questionned further they keep sending generic emails blaming the supplier. Will re-order and cancel from Amazon. Thanks Kirsty,

glad you had a good time skiing.

  4. I have read lots and put lots of blankets on my bed to keep cosy. General January nesting really. Hope you're feeling better soon x

  5. Oh... I hope you get better soon. Make sure you drink lots of tea, eat citrus fruits, stay in bed.
We are in Mexico, getting ready for little sisters' wedding next weekend, so we are on full errand mode and family is getting a bit stressed, but it will be OK.
Of course I brought Meg's book and all her advice :)
Take care and get lots of liquids !

  7. I sewed this week! Would totally recommend some gentle crafting while you recuperate. And my best friend had a baby, they are good for cheering you up to but you probably shouldn't take your fluey germs to any babies. And New Girl is funny, you could watch that!

  8. Oh, you poor dear. Being ill is the worst.

Same old same old here. Except we won $15 in scratcher lotto tickets! POW. Might have to buy ourselves an ENTIRE SANDWICH with those lofty earnings.
