Being boring.

Girl with hair blowing in the windRoses sparkling in the sun

If you ask me 'What's new?', I have nothing to say
Except that the garden is growing.
I had a slight cold but it's better today.
I'm content with the way things are going.

Yes, he is the same as he usually is,
Still eating and sleeping and snoring.
I get on with my work. He gets on with his.
I know this is all very boring.
- From Being Boring by Wendy Cope, the blog's Offical Poet
(Fun fact: this is also the poem that inspired the blog's name.)

I have nothing to say. I don't even have a garden. As Zoë put it, it's too January to blog.

But I'm content with the way things are going.

Is the 15th of January too late to wish you a happy new year? I hope not, but happy Tuesday, just in case.

  1. That poem is beautiful.
Happy new year and Tuesday to you! It is not too late at all!
Glad to hear you are content (is that happy?).
And those cinemagraphs are so pretty, I was just about to ask you how you made those, what with your photoshoot styling skills, I thought you could also do these.

    1. Ha, I WISH I had the skills to make something like that! Sadly I'm pretty sure they didn't make it in Microsoft Paint, which is the only thing I know how to use...

  4. Can it be April please? I'm willing to skip my birthday in March if we can go right to spring. Enough of this cold.

And happy new year to you!
